Hi, I’m Matt Copeland.

I’m a husband and father of three.
I’m an engineer. Professionally, yes, but also more broadly. I like to solve problems and make stuff work better.
I started Copeland Building Envelope Consulting because I’m interested in making buildings work better and I love the game of entrepreneurship. I’m fascinated by the idea of creating something from nothing and helping make the world a better place along the way. I also like teaching so consulting is a natural fit.
I enjoy travel and writing, so have at times endeavored to write a travel blog. I still travel, but have directed most of my writing energies elsewhere lately.
Mental and physical fitness are important to me. I try to study a variety of spiritual practices, meditate and avail myself of opportunities to move as much as possible. I love running, hiking, skiing, tennis, calisthenics and lifting weights.
I like working with my hands. Carpentry, landscaping, gardening and cooking are all hobbies. I even like washing dishes. I also enjoy photography and all photos on this site are my own.
I sometimes get overly attached to the news, though I’m getting better at keeping it at a safe distance. I also love tech and electronic gadgets of all kinds.
I tend to read too many books at once.
Thanks for stopping by my site; feel free to say hello.
